ROSEDALE
Based on Samuel Sloan's 1852 Pattern Book
Gene & Leigh Imes
Rosedale, an iconic country mansion built in 1856, is an architectural masterpiece. Designed in the picturesque Italian Villa style, this architectural masterpiece boasts an impressive campanile and an elegantly inviting entry hall, and 14-foot ceilings.
The separate parlors for ladies and gents are an indication of the building’s rich history. All four spacious bedrooms come with a marble mantel and a dedicated sitting area. The real highlight of this majestic abode is the third-floor aerie in the tower, which provides a breathtaking 360° view from the tower – a view that has remained unchanged in its beauty for 150 years. Gaze across the horizon, one can even catch sight of the Tombigbee River, located a mere half-mile away for a truly incredible experience. Rosedale stands strong, with its 18-inch brick walls, ready to captivate admirers and withstand the test of time.
